My Skincare Routine

I don’t wear a full face of makeup everyday, instead I prefer to skip the foundation! That’s why I need a skincare routine to keep my face looking in tip top shape! Here’s what I do to keep my skin nourished every day for an almost flawless look.

As I have very sensitive skin, I always opt for products that are all natural and fragrance free. The best range I’ve used, and am still using, is the African Extracts Rooibos range. To combat my oily skin, I tend to use their Purifying range for a matt finish that lasts all day.

I start off by cleansing my skin using the Sorbet Facial cleanser with the sensitive silicone head. I’ve found using the daily cleansing brush regularly can be too harsh, but this does depend on the sensitivity of your skin. I use the cleanser is upwards motions, always making sure I don’t drag my skin downwards (trying my best to avoid wrinkles I guess). I also like to cleanse down my neck and my chest.

Once I’ve hopped out the shower and I’m completely dry, use a cotton pad and the toner to tone my face and ensure all impurities are removed before moisturising.  Once again, I like to tone and moisturize all down my neck and chest in upwards motions.

In the evenings I follow the same steps, except before I cleanse I use the Soothing Cleansing lotion to remove all my makeup.

I’ve been using the African Essentials products for the past 6 years and I can definitely say that I have never been as confident about my skin as I am now. This isn’t a sponsored post, I just wanted to share what worked for me with you and maybe it will work for you too.
